Every December, the Sinag-tala Filipino Theater and Performing Arts Association (SFTPAA) presents its theatrical revue which showcases Filipino history and culture through songs, dances, and literary pieces.
The legacy continues this 26th year beginning with joyous dances from the Spanish Galleon Era. Then, the children will show their enthusiasm and delight as they learn their ABCs, play jokes, and make friends. Afterward, a modern twist is applied to folk dances as we blend traditional movements with contemporary music.
The revue emphasizes our Filipino patriotism as we feature the Japanese underground resistance movement and the martyrdom of Josefa Llanas Escoda, founder of the Philippine Girl Scouts. She inspired Filipino women to be at the forefront of civic duties.
Likewise, we highlight our modern hero, Manny Pacquiao, who brings pride to the Filipino nation, not only through his boxing achievements but also with his compassion for the Filipino masses.
Following tradition, the show concludes with a Christmas segment featuring Filipino Christmas carols…
